COMPANY OVERVIEW
Journey Started
JEPL – SSI / MSME company established by two technocrats in the year 1998 producing a high-performance thermoset engineering plastic with Di-Isocyanate as backbone.
In India till 1980 Polyurethane was known for its corrosion resistant coating which slowly gained momentum and its usage started as high abrasion resistance material for Aerospace, Oil & Gas, Offshore/Marine, Printing, Material handling systems.
JEPL, first entered in this segment around 1995 and was carrying out ‘Printing Roll’ manufacturing as contract job work. JEPL started operations on its own with marketing and development facilities since 1998.
Mr. Jayant Khadilkar being Organic Chemist, led the company from front and reached important milestones in a planned manner.
2000 - Challenging time
JEPL moved to 15,000 Sq. Ft plot with production facility & office. Customers were limited and so also product range. With limited financial banking facility and a small Marketing team, JEPL progressed & transformed by Year 2010.
2010 - Transformation Time
With an objective of having its own formulations and its own R&D, JEPL transformed and started development lab n Year 2010. JEPL’s thrust was always on R&D and new innovations. It presented technical papers at international conferences & participation in National Exhibitions.
By this time, JEPL had the strength of 35 workmen plus staff which included almost 60% members from unprivileged class.
2018 - Promising Time
With the help of Plastic Export Promotion Council, Merchant’ chamber memberships, ISO 9001:2008 certification; JEPL made many presentations on various forums. These presentations and international visits brought exporting opportunities to JEPL.
2019-20 - Good Times
JEPL received best MSME awards from SKOCH GROUP, IMOT-NITTE, SME100 FORUM and Innovation Award from INDIAN POYURETHANE ASSOCIATION. This has given recognition to the efforts of JEPL.

I used Polyurethane way back in 1985, for waterproofing and corrosion protection after successful formulation and its commercial use, I moved on to take up challenging opportunity to develop a foam material for heat, sound insulation with waterproofing with application at site. On completion of targeted work, the next
opportunity knocked was Elastomers. We are market leaders for specialized rolls and other customized products for many industries.
This year we have associated with a 94 yr old Japanese company OTAKA RUBBER for the supply of formulated rubber compounds and technical support to produce Also, JFE SHOJI another Japanese company shall be with us to do marketing of exclusive OTAKA products for Indian steel industry.
